Happy 2026!
As we head into a new calendar year and the second half of the schoolyear, here are some new resources that have been added to your eMATHinstruction Teacher Plus Membership.
Middle School Teacher Tools
N-Gen Math 6:
Unit 7 Mid-Unit Quiz (Form C)
- This checks students’ ability to reason proportionally with ratios and rates in real-world contexts. Students identify equivalent and non-equivalent ratios, scale ratios to find missing values, and interpret ratios expressed in different forms, including part-to-part and part-to-whole relationships. Problems require students to simplify ratios, recognize multiplicative relationships, and apply ratio reasoning to scenarios.
Unit 8 Practice with Percents and Equivalent Ratios
- Use this practice to build fluency with connecting percents, fractions, and ratios. Students convert between percent and fractional forms, calculate percent of a quantity, and interpret percent situations in real-world contexts.Â
Unit 8 Mid-Unit Quiz (Form C)
- This assessment measures students’ ability to reason flexibly with percents in applied settings. Students identify fractional representations of percents, calculate percent of a given quantity, and determine percents from ratios and counts.Â
N-Gen Math 7
Unit 7 Practice with Comparing Samples
- This practice focuses on comparing distributions using box plots. Students analyze medians, interquartile ranges, overall variability, and overlap to make comparative claims about real-world data sets.
Unit 7 Mid-Unit Quiz (Form C)
- This quiz covers statistical measures and their relationships within data sets. Students identify mean, median, mode, range, and interquartile range from numerical data and determine which statements correctly compare these measures.Â
Unit 7cc Mid-Unit Quiz (Form C)
Quiz students on their understanding of statistical questions, sampling methods, and measures of variability. Students distinguish statistical from non-statistical questions, identify biased samples, and compare mean and median values within data sets.Â
N-Gen Math 8
Unit 6cc Mid-Unit Quiz (Form C)
- This extra assessment checks students’ ability to interpret and analyze functions represented in tables, graphs, ordered pairs, and contextual scenarios. Students determine outputs for given inputs, identify intervals of increase and decrease, analyze domain and range, and calculate rates of change from tabular data.Â
Unit 7 Practice with Simplifying Fractions
This practice reinforces simplifying numerical and algebraic fractions through factorization. Students identify greatest common factors, rewrite expressions using equivalent forms, and cancel factors strategically.Â
Unit 7 Mid-Unit Quiz (Form C)
- Measures students’ understanding of exponent rules, including multiplication of powers, power of a power, zero and negative exponents, and equivalent exponential expressions. Students simplify expressions, identify non-equivalent forms, and justify reasoning in multi-step problems.Â
High School Teacher Tools
N-Gen Math Algebra I
Unit 7 Practice with Multiplying Polynomials
- Develop skills with polynomial multiplication across increasingly complex structures. Students apply the distributive property to monomials and polynomials, multiply binomials using standard form, and square binomials to produce trinomials.Â
Unit 7 Mid-Unit Quiz (Form C)
- Use this quiz on polynomial structure and operations. Students will evaluate polynomials for given values, identify leading coefficients and degree, add and subtract polynomials, expand binomial squares, and recognize factors.Â
Unit 8 Practice with Solving Quadratics by Completing the Square
- This practice dives into conceptual and procedural understanding of completing the square as a method for solving quadratic equations. Students identify the constant needed to form perfect square trinomials, solve equations in standard and rearranged forms, and work through cases involving fractions and leading coefficients other than one.Â
N-Gen Math Geometry
Unit 7 Practice with Dilations in the Coordinate Plane
- This practice strengthens learners’ ability to perform and analyze dilations using coordinate geometry. Students determine scale factors, map points and segments under dilation, write equations of dilated lines, and verify parallels using coordinates.Â
Unit 7 Mid-Unit Quiz (Form B)
- Check students’ understanding of dilations and similarity in both coordinate and non-coordinate settings. Students analyze the effects of scale factor on length, angle measure, and orientation, determine scale factors from coordinate images, and apply proportional reasoning to similar triangles.Â
N-Gen Math Algebra II
Unit 8 Practice with Shifting Functions
- This lesson focuses on understanding horizontal and vertical transformations of functions. Students graph transformed functions using function notation, determine new domains and ranges after shifts, and identify translation parameters from paired graphs.Â
Unit 8 Mid-Unit Quiz (Form A)
- Assign this quiz on function transformations and interpreting their effects. Students identify turning points after shifts, determine intervals of increase, analyze intercept changes under transformations, and write equations for transformed graphs.Â
Unit 9 Practice with Solving Square Root Equations
- Practice solving equations involving square roots. Students isolate radical expressions, square both sides strategically, and solve resulting equations.
