May is here which means we are in the homestretch of instruction. School will soon be over. Yay!

Here at eMATH we have been working hard to improve our YouTube channel. All videos are now organized by course. We have also made playlists for each unit to make it easier to find the video you need. As always, videos are accessible directly from the unit pages on our website. We encourage you to check out our new and improved channel. If you have not yet done so be sure to subscribe.

We just published a final round of resources for the school year, so let’s begin by discussing those.

In Common Core Algebra I this month, we bring you the final set of mid-unit quizzes for the year. We offer up the Unit 11 (A Final Look at Functions and Modeling) quizzes, Forms A and B.

For Common Core Geometry add-ons this month we bring you new resources for Unit 10 (Measurement and Modeling). First, we bring you the Form B of the mid-unit quiz for Unit 10. We also have published the Unit 10 Form D Assessment.

In Common Core Algebra II, we bring you the Unit 13 (Statistics) mid-unit quizzes, both Form A and Form B. Unit 13 is a long one in Common Core Algebra II, and subsequently the quizzes are fairly major as well.

Finally, in Algebra 2 with Trigonometry, we bring you the Unit 11 (Probability) Form D Assessment and the Unit 12 (Statistics) Form D Assessment.

As the school year winds down, there is still testing on the horizon. Some states have completed testing already while it is still yet to come in others. New York State is mandated by the federal government to administer a variety of assessments. At the high school level, the only mathematics exam offered is the New York State Algebra I Regents Exam on Wednesday, June 23rd. Through an informal survey, most Algebra I teachers indicated their school is having students take the exam, even though the results may not be used in any true evaluative sense. Because of this response, we do plan to bring back our live Regents review. We will be hosting a YouTube Live Algebra I Review session on Tuesday, June 22nd, from 6 until 9 p.m. We will be going over old Algebra I Regent Exam questions that span the content of the course. This is another reason to be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel.

More information regarding the review will be announced in the coming weeks. As always, we will make the problem set that we will be going over available. Also keep an eye out on our social media channels for some other fun end of year things we have going on. We hope that the review helps students in whatever way it can after such a chaotic year.
