November 2023’s New Teacher Tools

We are finally getting close to a real vacation here as Thanksgiving approaches. eMATHinstruction is serving up some new dishes this November:

N-Gen Math 6:

  • Unit 5 (Algebraic Expressions) – Mid-Unit Quiz – Form B
  • Unit 5 (Algebraic Expressions) – Practice with the Distributive Property. This worksheet has students practice using the distributive property in both directions (multiplying and factoring). It also has students verify the equivalency of two expressions using numerical examples.
  • *Spanish Language Versions of the Unit 5 Mid-Unit Quiz (Form A only) and Exit Tickets

N-Gen Math 7:

  • Unit 5 (Linear Expressions) – Practice with Simplifying Complex Expressions. This worksheet gives students great practice in simplifying more complex expressions, most by the use of the distributive property and combining like terms.
  • Unit 6 (Linear Equations and Inequalities) – Mid-Unit Quiz – Form B
  • Unit 6 (Linear Equations and Inequalities) – Practice with Modeling with Two-Step Equations. This worksheet gives real-world situations that students model using two-step equations.
  • *Spanish Language Versions of the Unit 6 Mid-Unit Quiz (Form A only) and Exit Tickets

N-Gen Math 8:

  • Unit 4 (Similarity and Dilations) – Mid-Unit Quiz – Form B
  • Unit 4 (Similarity and Dilations) – Practice Solving for Side Lengths of Similar Triangles. This worksheet contains a nice collection of problems where students using proportions to solve for missing sides of similar triangles.
  • *Spanish Language Versions of the Unit 4 Mid-Unit Quiz (Form A only) and Exit Tickets.

N-Gen Math Algebra I:

  • Unit 5 (Linear Systems) – Unit Assessment – Form B
  • Unit 5 (Linear Systems) – Mid-Unit Quiz – Form A

N-Gen Math Geometry:

  • Unit 4 (Constructions) – Unit Assessment – Form A
  • Unit 4 (Constructions) – Exit Tickets
  • Unit 4 (Constructions) – Construction Challenges. This worksheet gives students an opportunity to practice the construction of inscribed polygons while at the same time giving them more challenging and aesthetically pleasing constructions .

Common Core Algebra II:

  • Unit 6 (Quadratic Functions and Their Algebra) – Quadratic Inequalities in One Variable Practice. This worksheet gives students great practice in solving quadratic inequalities in a single variable. It also challenges the students to create quadratic inequalities that have specified solution sets.
