May has come which means that many teachers are starting to finish their curricula and turn their attention to state and final exams. eMATHinstruction has one last round of new materials for the year before we take a few months off. Here are our newest additions:

N-Gen Math 6:

• Unit 11cc (Common Core Statistics) – Mid-Unit Quiz – Form B
• Unit 11cc (Common Core Statistics) – Practice Creating Histograms. In this worksheet, students summarize data sets visually using histograms. In some problems, students decide if the x-axis needs and axis break and an appropriate scale for the x-axis.
• Unit 12 (Probability) – Mid-Unit Quiz – Form B
• Unit 12 (Probability) – Practice with Probabilities and Percents. In this resources, students get a chance to practice calculating probabilities and expressing them as percentages. They also work with classifying events in terms of how likely they are to occur.
• Spanish Language Versions of the Unit 11cc and Unit 12 Mid-Unit Quiz (Form A only) and Exit Tickets.

N-Gen Math 7:

• No new resources for this month.

N-Gen Math 8:

• Unit 11 (Systems of Equations) – Practice Solving Systems by Elimination. This worksheet gives students lots of practice with solving linear systems of two equations by adding them together and eliminating one of the variables.
• Unit 12cc (Common Core Statistics) – Mid-Unit Quiz – Form B
• Unit 12cc (Common Core Statistics) – Practice with Lines of Best Fit. In this resource, students are given practice in using and interpreting equations of lines of best fit.
• Spanish Language Versions of the Unit 12cc Mid-Unit Quiz (Form A only) and Exit Tickets.

N-Gen Math Algebra I:

• Unit 11 (Statistics) – Unit Assessment – Form B.
• Unit 11 (Statistics) – Mid-Unit Quiz – Form A.

N-Gen Math Geometry:

• Unit 10 (Geometric Measurement and Modeling) – Unit Assessment – Form A.
• Unit 10 (Geometric Measurement and Modeling) – Exit Tickets
• Unit 10 (Geometric Measurement and Modeling) – Cones and Similar Triangles. In this extended set of problems, students learn how to use similar triangles to calculate the volume of a truncated cone.

Common Core Algebra II:

• Unit 13 (Statistics) – Practice with Linear and Exponential Regression. In this worksheet, students get a good chance to fit data with both linear and exponential functions. As well, they work to interpret the parameters of these best fit equations.
